Ok! Now, let’s move on to the step by step guide to create a countdown timer.
Step 1. Login to OptinMonster account.
Step 2. Once login into your OptinMonster account, click the green button called “Create Campaign.”
Step 3. And then choose a campaign type called the “Floating Bar.”
Step 4. Select the Countdown template that meets your design. In this tutorial, we will select the promo template. Now, you name your campaign and choose a website to load it. (Yes, you can manage multiple websites on one platform!) Click “Start Building.”
Step 5. Let’s change the floating settings first. So, click the “Floating Settings” on the sidebar. Toggle switch to load on the top of the page.
Step 6. Next, click OptinMonster icon and then remove the OptinMonster branding by toggling “Display Powered by Link.”
Step7. Edit countdown timer. Click “Editing” and set “End Date.” You can also change display settings like “Display Date”, “Display Hours”, “Display Minutes”, and “Display Seconds”. After that, don’t forget to click “Save.” It’s an upper right corner, green button.
Step8. Next, change the message of the Countdown Timer and then move on to the Coupon Code. Add your coupon code and message like “Use code: Flash.” And, click “Save.”
Step 9. Click “Display Rules”. On this page, you can customize when the Countdown Timer shows on the screen. You can also set up Google Analytics by clicking “Analytics.” It’s really up to you.
Step 10. Last step! Click “Publish” and change the Status to “Live.” Lastly, click “Save.” All set!
If you want to collect email addresses, you’ll need to connect opt into your email service provider. You can do it on the “Integrations tab.“
Once you have published and saved your Countdown Timer, go to your WordPress dashboard and click the OptinMonster icon. (if you use WordPress) You can see a list of all your popups that you’ve just created.
